WA’s Women’s Cricket Team score first run at new team building attraction at Optus Stadium

The women’s league kicked off their 2023/24 pre-season as the first to participate in the Pathfinders experiential team building event created precisely for the spectacular surrounds of Optus Stadium. Whilst 40mm of rain did dampen parts of the day, the program was a success!

A new offering from premier team building and team development company, Rapid Teams, Pathfinders is a part ‘amazing race’, part ‘problem solving challenge’ and offers teams the opportunity to focus on communication, creativity, complex problem solving and time management in an engaging format.

Encompassing the gardens from Matagarup Bridge, the Chevron Parklands, various playgrounds and around the stadium back to The Camfield and Burswood foreshore, teams will investigate their way through solving mystery puzzles and riddles in order to find clues to help them solve the master puzzle.

Rapid Teams Director, Angus Firth, said “We are thrilled to be launching our Pathfinders series here with the support of Optus Stadium. These parklands along the Burswood Peninsula surrounding the stadium are rich in history and dotted with public art, making it a unique place for teams to engage and challenge themselves, strengthen relationships and build culture outside of the office.”

Nadia Owen, Head of Meetings and Special Events at Optus Stadium said “The Pathfinders program will complement our Meeting and Special Events offering, providing a way to learn about the history of the area and showcase the stadium surrounds, giving teams the opportunity to have fun and do something a bit different.”

Chloe Piparo, WA Cricket Women’s player said “The WA Women’s squad is thrilled to be involved with Rapid Teams and we are excited to use their team building experience as a way to further develop our connection as a playing group.”
