Old Courthouse Fremantle
45 Henderson St, Fremantle – Western Australia
We love Freo!
It’s true that the Rapid Teams Fremantle Challenge takes us there on a regular basis, but Freo is also a great destination for team meetings and corporate events to build human connectivity and learn how to work with each other the best we can. The Old Courthouse is a favourite location of ours – it brings charm, a colourful history, local homegrown food and bev!
VENUE INSIGHTS
Overview of Spaces
On arrival to the Old Courthouse, you immediately know that you are stepping back in time and are visiting somewhere special. The exterior walls feature historic Fremantle stone and in view are peppermint trees and pines reminding you that you are close to the coast steeped in maritime history.
You’ll usually find us in the indoor space known as the Civil Court. Picture wooden floorboards, high ceilings, long bars, leather, and wood. The beautiful thing about the Civil Court is that it was tastefully refurbed in 2021, superbly blending heritage of old and mod cons needed for today’s business meetings and events.
We have found that the 30 minute drive from Perth is not a barrier for those wanting to get out of the CBD. Likewise, we have had many groups visit Freo from Mandurah and surrounds to make the most of their team day. There’s multi-story parking just across the road. It doesn’t get any easier than that.
Conference Facilities
For those that know Rapid Teams, you’ll appreciate our style is very hands on and experiential, meaning minimal tech. Having said this – after our Fremantle Challenge we like to share video and photo content caputured during the challenge, on the large screens provided (free of charge!). After our debrief, teams hang for a celebration – whether that be in the Civil Court room or out in the garden.
OUR VERDICT
Rob says: Down to earth, simple and hassle free to organise. This is certainly one of our preferred venues in Fremantle.
